OK…sure…but what is all this Drift Club stuff about?

Very loosely borrowing from the Situationist dérive, the goal of a drift is to get together with likeminded urban wanderers for an in-person, collective soundwalk in a particular Amsterdam neighborhood or urban context.

Drifting involves walking with fellow participants through a particular route or neighborhood as we explore the psychogeography of our surroundings, while listening to a synchronized soundtrack created for each location.

We drift for the meditative pleasure of experiencing the psychogeography of our city, taking part in the shared atmosphere created by the combination of place, friends, music, and movement, and to experience our environment in a new way.

Drifts are free to attend and usually last about two hours, and usually end at a local bar or cafe. Join us for the next drift.
